Art Commissions, Unique to You.

  • I offer pet portraits, these make adorable gifts. Everyone loves their pup or kitten. I strive to capture their personality with my portraits and can customize any aspect of the piece.

  • I offer portraits of loved ones, family portraits, memorial portraits and more. Simply contact me to get started.

  • From expressionist to realistic, I can create a unique piece of art to bring joy to your home that serves as a reminder of a special place or memory. I’ve found the power of having original art in my home to be more profound than I ever realized. It creates beauty, wonder and intrigue. Whatever feeling you’re hoping to bring to your home or special event, I can create a custom piece of original art to bring that essence to your space. I will work hands on with you to ensure we create something truly personal and meaningful to you.

  • It’s holiday season, and what is better than giving a custom ornament created specifically for you or your loved ones. I create hand-painted ornaments on ceramic, with watercolor or acrylic paint with your choice of gold, rose gold, or silver leaf details.

  • I can create a custom portrait to be used at your wedding event. I simply need a photo of the couple + an image of the wedding outfits and any other details you’d like added. I can do this both digitally or hand-painted. Simply fill out my contact form with info on your request to get started.

  • From design to finished product, I will work with you to create a fully custom wedding design based on your unique aesthetic, wedding colors, floral or design preferences. I will then create a custom wedding invitation design and help you figure out where to print based on the paper quality you’re looking for. I worked at Shutterfly for 8 years, so I love personalization and know all the ins & outs.

  • Whether you need help with a logo or you want advice on integrating your brand presence online, i’m here to help with your design needs.

The watercolor paper includes a sheet with a floral watercolor painting, alongside text describing the paper types: 100% cotton watercolor paper, 140 lb, hot pressed; 100% cotton watercolor paper, 140 lb, rough; 100% cotton watercolor paper, 300 lb, cold pressed.

Art Material Details

Watercolor painting of a lush green landscape with hills and colorful flowers, framed and hanging on a white wall.
  • My watercolor paintings are hand-painted using artist grade watercolors from Daniel Smith, Winsor & Newton, Schmincke and Turner.

Watercolor has a transparent nature and can have uniquely organic granulation that you can’t get from other mediums. Best for landscapes, florals, pet portraits.

    • I use 100% cotton watercolor paper from Arches (140 lbs or 300 1bs), New Your Central (300 1bs) and Fabriano Artistico (300 1bs) and can accommodate many size options, up to 55 square inches.

    • Watercolor paper weight: the weight of paper refers to how much 500 sheets weigh. I offer 140lb weight paper which is a very sturdy for most watercolor painting or 300lb which is 2x as thick, like cardstock and is best for larger scale, wet on wet techniques as it can take on more water.

    • Cold Pressed Paper - the most commonly used type of paper for watercolor, this gives a semi-smooth finish and you can get some beautiful volatility to washes. (this is my preferred paper type).

    • Hot Pressed Paper - gives a very smooth finish and works well for finely detailed work. Typically more used for illustration work or works that require a finer line.

    • Rough Pressed Paper - I personally love using this paper type as it has a strong textured finish and can create beautiful unique effects with watercolor. It’s amazing for looser more painterly work.

  • I use artist grade oil paints from Golden, Winsor & Newton and Charvin.

Similar to oil, acrylic paint is very archival and you can achieve a variety of effects from opaque to transparent, glossy, to matte, textured and loose to finely detailed, but I prefer a more painterly aesthetic. Best for Portraits, textured landscapes, abstract.

  • I use artist grade oil paints from Golden, Winsor & Newton and Charvin.

Similar to oil, acrylic paint is very archival and you can achieve a variety of effects from opaque to transparent, glossy, to matte, textured and loose to finely detailed, or a more painterly aesthetic. Best for Portraits, Textured landscapes, opaque or thickly painted compositions.

Oil does take more time to dry so that would impact timing, expect 2-3 weeks longer prior to shipping for the paint to dry fully.

  • Canvas is typically stretched on wooden supports and I usually work with them unframed.

I would use this backing option for Oil or Acrylic.

  • Wood panel backing is very rigid and smooth, archival.

I would use this backing option for Oil or Acrylic.

What to Expect

  • Simply fill out the form below to get started. I will need details of what you’re hoping to create, sizing preference, art medium preferred, any reference photos you have for your project, etc.

  • You’ll hear from me within 1-2 business days to align on any additional questions and details I need for your commission in order to ensure I provide an accurate quote and estimated time for delivery. You’ll get a simple questionnaire with my questions to make the design process as easy for you as possible. If you’d prefer, I’m happy to discuss design details over a short video call.

  • Once we align on all the details, I will send you an invoice (via email through PayPal) and require a 25% deposit to book your commission.

Once I receive that your booking is confirmed and I will start your painting. Yay, it’s time to start getting excited!

  • All watercolor paintings include a sleek modern wood or metal frame, with white matting. I will use either black, white or natural wood.

    • Custom framing options are available for an additional cost let me know your preferences and I will include that in my quote.

  • Timing ranges from 3 weeks to 2 months, dependent on availability, seasonality & the complexity of your piece. I may be able to accommodate rush orders (2 weeks), so don’t hesitate to ask.

  • I have a 2 round review process to ensure you’re happy with the final product you receive!

    • Round 1 - Initial Composition Review: I will send over a photo of your initial composition for review & a small mock-up painting to align on color palette, expect this within 1-2 weeks after your deposit is received. This is usually a rough sketch (no paint yet). If there are any changes or additional requests, we can make them at that time.

    • Round 2 - Final Review: Once the painting is complete, I will send a photo for a final review. I can only make minor tweaks to the details at this time. Once we confirm you are happy with your piece I will send an email requesting the remaining balance on your invoice.

  • All quotes include tracked shipping.

The remaining 75% balance needs to be received before I will ship your item to you. I will provide a tracking number at that time.

Due to the highly personalized nature of commission work I do not offer returns. Your happiness is my priority so I will make every effort to ensure your happiness in the review process. Please see returns & shipping information if you have any additional questions.

    • Why do you require a 25% deposit up front?

      • Since I am an independent artist providing a one-of-a-kind product, I aim to mitigate any scam requests. I really appreciate your understanding on this.

    • Do you accommodate payment plans?

      • No, unfortunately, I’m unable to accommodate this but hope that breaking the payment into a 25%/75% split helps in mitigating that upfront cost and risk on your end.

    • What materials do you use?

      • I only use artist grade paints, paper, canvas to ensure the archival quality of your piece. I want my work to be heirloom quality to last for generations to come. I’m open to mixed media and may use other materials depending on the nature of your commissioned piece.
