Artist Statement:
Stacia Patin is an expressionist artist based in Downtown Raleigh. Originally from Northern California, she studied Fine Art and Psychology at BYU, graduating in 2011. Having moved 25 times in her life, traveled to 36 states and living abroad for 18 months, she highly values the diversity of life and nature. She enjoys creating from those memories, emphasizing the colors, diversity and beauty of the places she’s explored and people she’s met.
Her medium of choice is watercolor as she loves the free-flowing, transparent nature and the challenges presented with controlling this medium, especially with the wet-on-wet technique. With 14 years of expertise as a marketer, mostly in the personalization industry she has grown a love of helping others make meaningful, tangible creations and this grew her passion for taking commissions that help others to create highly personalized art from their memories and experiences to preserve meaningful moments for generations to come. The collaboration with clients is a big motivation for her work as she finds meaning and joy from creating art for the purpose of an intended audience. She launched Stacia’s Studio in early 2024, where she sells her original art, commissions, prints & more.
